Launch: The Disaronno Terrace

Jun 28th, 2014

Glastonbury…the festival mecca or an unspoken sore spot if you’re not able to go, the latter resonating all too loudly for some of the Rookie team this year. However this week Hackney provided an alternative, albeit a more sophisticated event in the form of a rooftop party. The launch of the Disaronno Terrace at Platform, Netil House, had all the laid back glamour of the glamping area in Glasto – partly due to appearances by Made in Chelsea’s Millie Mackintosh, The OC’s Mischa Barton and The Saturday’s Vanessa White minus the Hunter wellies.

We sipped on a picnic of Disaronno cocktails: A Sour, Terrace Cooler and the Godfather each tipple typifying the different stages of the evening. Sipping Sours in the sun, watching the sunset with a fruity Terrace Cooler, getting knocked out by the Godfather (a mix of Disaronno and our favourite whiskey Monkey Shoulder) all amidst a cocktail making workshop, mural painting and smile worthy summer beats.

The man of the hour was singer song writer Nick Mulvey who played an intimate set before jetting off to play on the Pyramid Stage of Glastonbury followed by a DJ set by Alt J. Who needs a festival when you have a private gig at your doorstep?
